The GPS uses GPS measurements for speed and distance. Accuracy is variable, but generally is +/- 5%. The GPS does not have cadence measurement, and its ride files cannot be viewed in Isaac software.
Yes! You can use any cycling app you wish with the GPS.
If you own the GPS+, your cycling app will need to be compatible with the Bluetooth Smart speed/cadence sensor.

The POWERHOUSE includes instructional videos showing you how to set up your bike for comfortable riding, and other videos teach you some of the secrets used by accomplished riders that make cycling more efficient.
No matter your level of cycling ability, once you choose your goal and pick your plan, your rides are individually calibrated based on your fitness level. As your fitness improves your workouts will increase correspondingly. So, while you're apt to break a sweat (no effort, no gain) you won't be in over your head.

Yes! Once you've finished a plan (about 4 weeks worth of riding) you can repeat it if you wish.
Because your fitness plan is based on your fitness level, when you restart a plan it will be at a much higher level. So, even an advanced rider (who will do very well on the initial fitness test) will benefit from using these expertly developed plans.
Even though you can repeat any plan, we strongly encourage cyclists to check out ALL of the plans. Different plans provide different end benefits, so you might want to "shift gears" once you've conquered your first POWERHOUSE plan!
No. POWERHOUSE workouts are designed to be followed in sequence, so that your body adapts to the workouts and interval training safely and effectively. Each workout focuses on differing aspects of fitness, so once a particular workout is completed, you'll automatically be moved to the next one.
If you can't do a full workout, you'll have the option to start it over, or to save it and move to the next one.
The POWERHOUSE uses power measurement for its interval training, not heart rate.
However, if you wish to use an ANT+ Heart Rate strap, you can pair it with the POWERHOUSE, and HR data will be displayed on-screen.

The iBike POWERHOUSE is not GPS dependent. It uses the most advanced cycling effort measurement technology available (power) to get an accurate read of your effort and fitness.
When you're not training one option is to use the "Free Ride" aspect of your iBike POWERHOUSE app. A Free Ride shows you your power output using the same system as in your workouts, but without directing you to pedal at any particular level of effort.
Alternatively, if you'd like to ride with a cool bicycle computer and see speed, ride distance, time and (iPhone only) maps, install and use the free iBike Coach app. It works perfectly with your POWERHOUSE case and provides you with an amazing, and superbly precise, conventional cycling computer.
The POWERHOUSE screen shows the average watts of each interval.
The iBike POWERHOUSE takes the complexity out of power training and eliminates the need for you to hire a coach and also learn the ins and outs of power measurement.
If you're a "power-aware" cyclist and want to get deeper into power numbers, and also want to take advantage of Hunter Allen's POWERHOUSE workouts, then the iBike Dash + Power is perfect.
With the iBike Dash+Power you can use both the iBike App and the iBike POWERHOUSE app with your + Power case.
The iBike app works with the + Power case to give you a fully-customizable, numbers-deep power meter of incredible sophistication and flexibility. You'll get all of the features and sophistication of iBike power meters—including full use of Isaac software and Google Earth (requires iPhone).
Also, with the + Power case you will be able to use the iBike POWERHOUSE app whenever you choose, giving you full access to all of the POWERHOUSE plans. With the iBike Dash + Power can train with Hunter Allen's workouts, and geek-out with the iBike app. Your choice!
